Regardless of who his client is, or what type of case Rich Raleigh is handling, his goal is always to achieve the best possible result for his clients in a manner that fits with their personal or business goals.

Both Rich Raleigh and his wife, Shannon, are active in charitable and civic causes.  Rich has served on the governing body of the Alabama State Bar since 2004, and was selected to serve as Bar President-Elect (2013 - 2014) and President (2014 - 2015).

Rich Raleigh is also dedicated to providing pro bono representation to the underserved members of his community, personally handling cases for the Volunteer Lawyers Program and previously served as President of the Board of Directors of the Madison County Volunteer Lawyers Program.


Rich Raleigh has a diverse litigation practice, and has tried numerous trials in state and federal courts, both jury trials and bench (judge alone) trials, and has argued cases before the Fifth and Eleventh U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeal. 

SuperLawyers and Best Lawyers have selected Rich Raleigh for inclusion in their respective lists of awyers in Alabama.  

Rich Raleigh regularly defends businesses and individuals in complex litigation.  Drawing upon his experience in the United States Army JAG Corps, Rich has successfully represented numerous clients dealing with issues related to government contracts, noncompetition agreements, and trade secrets throughout the Southeast.  He regularly handles matters requiring immediate action – motions for temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction hearings – particularly in the context of cases involving non-compete agreements and claims of misappropriation of trade secrets.

Rich Raleigh has also negotiated favorable severance packages, employment contracts, and partnership agreements.  Both executives and companies have hired him to represent them in internal investigations and corporate governance matters.
