We represent clients in a variety of family law matters such as divorce, paternity, child custody, child support, dependency, surrogacy, adoption, terminations of parental rights, grandparent visitation, fathers’ rights, appeals, alimony, prenuptial agreements, post-nuptial agreements, wills and estates, and real estate and property division matters.

Amber James also concentrates her continuing legal education almost solely in the area of family law attending on average 24 hours of continuing legal education each year. Prior to opening her own practice, Amber James worked in the Circuit Court of Jefferson County, Alabama, Domestic Relations Division where she worked with the attorneys and judges who have literally written the books that are used by attorneys and judges statewide in their domestic relations practices.

 Amber James also serves as an adjunct professor at the Birmingham School of Law.

Amber James, Esq., the managing member of the firm, has been divorced, has remarried, and now raises a blended family along with her husband Kirk.
