We represent clients in a variety of family law matters such as divorce, paternity, child custody, child support, dependency, surrogacy, adoption, terminations of parental rights, grandparent visitation, fathers’ rights, appeals, alimony, prenuptial agreements, post-nuptial agreements, wills and estates, and real estate and property division matters.

Amber James also concentrates her continuing legal education almost solely in the area of family law attending on average 24 hours of continuing legal education each year. Biography

Amber James graduated with a J.D., Birmingham School of Law, 2006 Sigma Delta Kappa, Graduated with Honors (9th in class), Mock Trial Team and an M.B.A, University of Alabama at Birmingham, 2000

B.A. Music, University of Alabama at Birmingham, 1998 Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, Blazer Band, Choir, Golden Key Honor Society, Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Honor Society, Most Outstanding Music Student

Prior to opening her own practice, Amber James worked in the Circuit Court of Jefferson County, Alabama, Domestic Relations Division where she worked with the attorneys and judges who have literally written the books that are used by attorneys and judges statewide in their domestic relations practices.

 Amber James also serves as an adjunct professor at the Birmingham School of Law.

Amber James, Esq., the managing member of the firm, has been divorced, has remarried, and now raises a blended family along with her husband Kirk.
